Meet Edita

Edita is a Slovak language educator with a background in teaching and language education from Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, Slovakia. Having studied, lived, and worked abroad in Spain, Cuba, and Canada, she brings an international perspective and a natural ability to connect with students from different cultures.

Trained in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Edita combines interactive, visual, and game-based teaching methods that make learning Slovak approachable, engaging, and enjoyable.

Come for the language. Stay for the connection

Meet Petra

Petra is a passionate language teacher who loves helping students build the confidence to use a new language in real life.

Having studied and worked in Spain and gained experience as a language tutor, Petra understands that every learner is different. Her lessons are interactive, supportive and tailored to each student’s goals, creating a relaxed space where students can practise, make mistakes and progress with confidence.

For Petra, learning Slovak is about much more than grammar and vocabulary. It is about finding your voice, communicating naturally and building a deeper connection with Slovakia.

Alongside the language, Petra enjoys sharing Slovak culture and everyday life, helping students connect with the country, its people and their heritage in a meaningful way.

Her goal is simple: to help you speak Slovak with confidence — and feel closer to Slovakia along the way.

If you know your WHY, you’re in the right place.

Meet Simona

Simona is an experienced Slovak language teacher who has worked with children and adults, heritage speakers and complete beginners — from people who grew up hearing Slovak at home to those discovering the language for the very first time.

Having lived and studied abroad herself, she knows what it feels like to learn a language while finding your place in a new environment.

Her classes are all about getting you talking. Rather than spending the whole lesson listening to the teacher, students get plenty of space to speak, experiment, make mistakes and build confidence naturally.

Simona sees herself as your guide: the 60 minutes belong to you and your Slovak. The goal is simple — talk more, worry less, and leave every class feeling a little more confident than when you arrived.

Meet Laura

Laura is a language teacher who genuinely knows what it feels like to be a language learner herself.

Laura has taught Slovak to foreigners since 2019, English to non-native speakers, and even Music, so her classes naturally bring together language, culture, creativity and real life. She speaks several languages, including Croatian, Turkish and Italian, has studied Chinese, and is currently learning Greek while living in Cyprus. That means she understands the awkward moments, the small wins, and the confidence boost that comes when a new language finally starts to click.

Laura’s teaching style is warm, encouraging and practical. She helps students move beyond memorising grammar and start actually using Slovak with confidence — while also discovering the culture, humour and everyday life behind the language.

Meet Zuzana

Zuzana is a Slovak language teacher who has spent years helping learners of all ages, from schoolchildren to international university students, build confidence in a new language.

Zuzana taught Slovak and Medical Slovak to foreign students for seven years at the Faculty of Medicine in Martin and co-authored two Slovak language textbooks used by international students studying in Slovakia. Today, she teaches Slovak and English at a primary school, bringing experience from both classroom teaching and working with adult learners from around the world.

Zuzana's teaching style is friendly, patient and practical. She focuses on helping students feel comfortable speaking from the very beginning, building confidence step by step while making language learning enjoyable, engaging and relevant to daily life.

Meet Katarína

Katarína has been helping people find their confidence in a new language since 2000.  Over the years, she has taught just about every generation — from kindergarten children to university students and adults — so she knows that everyone learns a little differently. With experience living in England, she brings plenty of cross-cultural perspective to her classes.

Katarína’s lessons are relaxed, friendly and encouraging. Mistakes are welcome, questions are encouraged, and there’s always room for a little humour along the way. And you won’t learn Slovak from a textbook alone. Katarína loves bringing in Slovak culture, traditions and everyday life, helping students understand not just what Slovaks say, but how we actually live and communicate.

Whether you’re learning Slovak to connect with your family and heritage, prepare for a trip, or simply take on a new challenge, Katarína will help you enjoy the journey and build confidence along the way.

Teším sa na vás! — I’m looking forward to meeting you!
